Yes the boys were truly back in town, greated by a showery afternoon which quickly cleared at Vicker St.; remenances of their set at the electric picnic last summer. This was a very enjoyable gig with high quality distorsition and lengthy guitar solos. The crowd, lots of unshaven casuals bordering the 30yrs mark, cheered in the most upbeat fashon possible for post modern grunge. Although Donosaur Jr. may have looked ancient they were by no means ready to become extinct!

Love these guys, though no Murph at this one. Definitely up to 11+, which is good but not at expense of clarity! Missed some key elements like hearing the lyrics. Otherwise a great bash, a good tonic in these dreary times.

Built to Spill best thing were by far at Dinosaur Jr.,Vicar St.I forgive them for singing like Neil Young .Clear,pure three pronged guitar assault.Wish I'd seen more of them than Jerry Mascis and co.who played garage grunge rock,strangely unmoving with tracks from" Bug "and "You're living all over me" raising a little more than a sway of recognition. I think the interplay between the five musicians did it for me than Jerry Mascis practically trying to do every thing.
