Class gig at Vicar Street, great venue. A band everyone can appreciate from anywhere at the gig. From a true fan this was a boss set, played a few of the old favourites aswell as some of the quality new material. Comes across even better live.

very impressive band who have live performances down to a fine art would recommend them to anyone who wants to broaden there horizons miss them at your peril.

The band were excellent. I had listened to a few songs online and had not been too impressed but a friend had bought me a ticket. They are way better live. I would highly recommend going to see them.

Opening act(s): Lichens... I have heard this guy a few times around the local Dublin scene. A strange character with an unusual way of constructing music.
I can't help feeling though that with the type of music he creates that it would benifit from some visuals @

I first heard Explosions in the Sky perform live 3 years ago at the ATP festival and have wanted to hear them in a smaller, more intimate venue ever since.
Vicar Street did not disappoint.
From the second they came onto the stage, with only a one line introduction, the music just flowed, capturing the audience and transporting them somewhere else.
The transitions were seemless, the layering of rift upon rift mesmorising.
The eclectic audience brought from all ages and walks of life truly showed the importance of this band to modern music.
Simply, It Was Epic!!!
I won't be waiting another 3 years before hearing them again
